I chose this time to return to visit mainly because I wanted to have more vacation days so that I can stay in China longer. I would rather return to visit during Chinese new year. It would’ve been more fun. It happened that April 4th is the Chinese Qing Ming festival. This is the first year that Qing Ming festival is officially declared national holiday. Qing Ming like the famous Moon festival has more than two thousand years of history in China. It is a time when we rememorate and worship our ancestors and the departed one and wish the best to the whole family.

I re-visit a few of my favorite places where I like to play when I was really young. The beach park is one of my favorite places. It is really nice nowadays

The memorial park is my another favorite playground.

The pavilion is on the top of the hill in the memorial park. In this view the pavilion used to be the highest point and I was able to see the ocean. Now the ocean view is blocked by high rise apartment buildings. For a long period of time around the age of 8 to 11 I passed by this pavilion almost everyday on my way to school. That is right I use to walk over the hill to go to school because this is a shot cut from home.
