Zhu Hai City Environment - Photos of Trip to ZhuHai, China 2008

Zhu Hai is the place I was born and I lived there for more than 20 years.
Me and my son at LAX. It was a long 13 hours flight to Hong Kong and then we took a ferry from Hong Kong to Zhu Hai. The ferry ride was about 1.5 hour. My son is 2 years and 2 months old.
This two are the street views of Zhu Hai. This road was once the only main road 30 years ago. 30 years of development has changed almost everything near by.
This is the famous Lovers Road of Zhu Hai. On the ocean side of the road is wide areas of green. On the opposite site there are high rise apartment buildings. You don’t usually see such densely located high rise building in Southern California. It was everywhere in Zhu Hai.
The wild beaver island was empty island. Now a bridge was build to the island and a big red boat was build on the side. It is a restaurant, a famous tourist spot. It is called the lunar boat. To me the boat is also a symbol of the old Zhu Hai because it reminds me that Zhu Hai was once a fishing town. Fishing was once the main industry of the town and it was the main economy.
You can see a lot of fishing boats on the sea. There are still a lot people making a living on fishing. They were working on the dock and hooking small shrimps on the fishing net as bait. It was the fist time I notice that they have to do this on the fishing net. The fish must be a lot cleverer than before 
These are some of the fishes they caught. They sell some of them on the dock.

The place is quite nice. China is far improved compared to INDIA.
Yes the place is getting better and better especially with the development of Macau. Macau open up the gambling industry to foreign casino operators and all of a sudden foreign investments are flooded into the places. Zhu Hai as its adjacent city get a lot of benefit from it. I will put some picture up in when I have time.
