Starting the Siusic Blog

My name is Andrew Chen. I was introduced to the blogging world by a blogging web site called Johnchow.com. I Think John Chow is a very smart guy and he is an entrepreneur. He owns thetechzone.com and he sets up his own blog to promo the site and at the same time makes some pocket money from blogging. I thought if he can make money on a blog so can I. That is why you are here reading my blog.

I am doing programming and mostly database programming

and administration as my career. As a matter of fact I have been doing that for the past 7 years and I am working a fulltime job at a technology company providing local searching services. Guess what it is? I was living in the windows world for my entire career until I found JohnChow.com. I realized there were so many interesting things going on in the Linux world. Well, I consider PHP programming is mainly a Linux web development language as to ASP or ASP.Net for Windows although PHP can be running on IIS. So after experimenting with PHP and WordPress on my windows laptop I made this site to go live and called it Siusic.com. What does SIUSIC means? Well in Cantonese it means news. Yes, I am Cantonese just like John Chow. He was from Hong Kong I was from the main land. If you don’t know Cantonese, doesn’t matter, you can remember SIUSIC as easy as you remember MUSIC.

What I am going to blog about? Virtually everything! That’s what Siusic means right? But I don’t have John Chow’s Luxury because I am still working for someone else whereas John Chow is working for himself. He has a lot to talk about his money making site TheTechZone. For me, I probably don’t have much to talk about my work. Well, as I told you I am a programmer and database admin. So maybe I can talk about that and we can discuss on subjects like web and database development and so on.

I am not a good writer. In fact I probably don’t master the English language well. But I will write on and hope you don’t get bored. If you want to help me making money you can register as member and contribute your thoughts. But whatever you post it should be looking like an article not a few lines of comments.
