About

My Name is Andrew Chen.Where was Andrew from I am a typical day dreamer dreaming my American dream everyday for the past 13 years. You can see in the map where I was from and where I am currently at. The place I was from is very close to Macau, the gambling capital of China. I heard its gambling revenue is on the way to surpass Las Vegas. I am currently staying in in Orange county, California and I work there also. I have been to the US for 13 years now and I returned to China visit my parents and brother and sister a couple times during the past two years. Andrew.

I received my education in both China and US. I am into computer a lot, knows every programming languages a little bit. I recently learned to write PHP program a little bit because WordPress is written in PHP.

I worked as database developer or administrator. My specialty is MS SQL server or MySQL. The companies I worked for included Ellison Machinery, Pincity.com, Encore Credit Corp (NYSE: ECR), FutureTrade Technology, Local.com, and I am now working in Downey Savings and Loan. Encore Credit was once the second largest public sub-prime mortgage company following New Century Finance. They both headquarter in Irvine and went bankrupt during the sub-prime mortgage crises. Downey Savings and Loan was acquired by US Bank so I am actually working with US Bank as database administrator right now.

I work for a living for the most part because I have to. Sometime I hate it. But I also enjoy learning new technologies and enjoy the fulfillment of solving challenging technical problems. Spending 24 hours sitting in front of the computer to fix a bug doesn’t border me at all.

I am a crazy badminton player. I play every week in “San Garbrial Valley Badminton Club” for the past 9 years. I might stop breathing without playing it. I love to play chess also. I am married and have a three year old son. I can’t wait for him to grow bigger so he can play badminton and chess with me.
