I remember I got into SQL server starting on a Wrox book. You will find plenty of books on SQL server in Barnes & Noble. SQL server installation comes with an online book which is an extensive documentation on SQL server. It is very helpful. If you can install a development version of SQL server and practice what you read on books that will be helpful either. DB2 is also a popular database. There are a lot of demands out there in the job market. But I found it is hard to find the software to practice on. Do you have any recommendation to me? It is funny when I look at this post which I wrote last year. I have left local.com. All the excitement I have then was gone. Local.com's stock is trading below $2 right now. Maybe time to get in.
